As a member of the Water IT group, this position is responsible for leading, coordinating, and directing the activities of the Water IT Applications team of eleven IT professionals to provide full lifecycle support for the Water Departments Utility Billing, CRM, CMMS, RDBMS, and ancillary support systems; supervises the management of complex integrated computer systems; recommends policies and procedures; works simultaneously on multiple projects; assigns and prioritizes tasks and duties; coordinates with outside vendors, and consultants; interacts with all levels of the organization to maintain a current working knowledge of the Departments functions, activities, and specialized applications.

The ideal candidate will be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences and have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a highly technical and dynamic 24/7 environment.

Skills / Requirements

Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related information technology field PLUS five (5) years responsible experience in in system development including one year in programming and one year at a senior analyst level; including three (3) years of supervisory experience or equivalent.

An Associates Degree PLUS seven (7) years OR a High School or GED certification PLUS nine (9) years of the above experience may substitute for the educational requirement.

The preferred candidate should possess lead/supervisor level experience with some combination of integrated enterprise level COTS solutions for utility billing, CRM, CMMS, and multiple RDBMS platforms.
