The City of Fort Worth Parks and Community Services Department, Northeast Region, is recruiting to hire a Graffiti Abatement Coordinator. The selected candidate will be assigned to the Graffiti Abatement Program, and will be responsible for supervising office and field operations staff. The successful candidate must be able to:
Implements, enforces and coordinates the City's Graffiti Abatement Program according to the department and City policies and ordinances. Respond to and resolve citizen inquiries, complaints and service requests;
Ability to learn how to operate equipment in the graffiti abatement process, i.e., spray equipment, power washer, sandblaster, chemical wash and other appropriate removal methods and materials.
Develops and promotes public awareness and community education programs focusing on graffiti prevention. Interact with community groups, civic organizations, schools, FW Police Department, and general public in the graffiti abatement process.
Must have excellent public speaking skills to communicate graffiti information and programs at a variety of social events, schools and camps, City departments and organizations (City Council and Crime Control and Prevention District), and to educate the public on reasons for graffiti and graffiti abatement procedures.
Monitor expenditures to ensure funding is available for the entire fiscal year for the Graffiti Abatement Program. Recruit, interview, screen and refer volunteers to appropriate sites within assigned departments.
Prepare administrative and statistical reports on for the Graffiti Abatement Program. Participate in the preparation and development of annual budget.
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration, human resources or related field plus four (4) years of increasingly responsible administrative and fiscal management experience in support of a department, division or major service area including one year in a supervisory or lead capacity required. Principles and practices of budget preparation required. A high level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and excellent customer service skills is required. Excellent oral, communication, and typing skills are required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Possession of a valid Texas drivers license and an acceptable driving record is required.

Office environment; exposure to computer screens, working closely with others
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods of time; manual dexterity required.

A driver's license and driving record check will be conducted if driving is a job requirement. A post offer employment medical examination may be conducted prior to job placement.
