The City of Fort Worth, Internal Audit Department, is seeking to hire an EDP Audit Manager to participate in the planning, implementation, testing and review of administration activities and operations of new and existing information technology systems within the City. It includes communication, security, computer operations and/or other related information technology services; to coordinate results of testing and reviews of large, complex technology projects with applicable staff, divisions, departments, other management teams and applicable City managers and Council members.
Key duties will include, but not limited, to:
Assume departmental management responsibility for assigned communications, policies and priorities for assigned information technology projects for the department; all planning, testing and assessments of various parts/stages of new IT projects and implementations, and special IT projects/assignments
Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned information technology projects
Review departmental needs assessments and determine if recommended equipment and software to be purchased will meet their needs
Monitor work of contractual vendors and agencies involved in the various planning, training and testing of new IT systems under implementation and provide assessments of their work and progress
Provide effective oral, written and visual presentations that assist in providing city employees, management and Council Members accurate and timely updates on the implementation progress of new IT systems
Select, train, motivate and evaluate team members; provide or coordinate team member training; and work with subordinate team members to correct deficiencies; related to department IT projects
The following education and/or experience are the minimum standards which provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position.
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or a related information technology field PLUS seven (7) years of increasing responsible experience in auditing, security and/or all aspects of IT systems, including two years of administrative and supervisory responsibility is required. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access computer skills required. Budgetary experience is required. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with the following City of Fort Worth Information Systems/Software: CourtView, Tax Cash, Buyspeed, MARS general ledger and HTE water billing. Preference will also be given to applicants who have experience writing queries on the above mentioned IT systems and using information expert programs on the same.
Possession of an appropriate, valid Texas driver's license is required. CISA certification required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Participate in the development and administration of the departments annual operating and financial plans; participate in the forecasting of funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies; monitor expenditures
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required

Environmental and Physical Conditions:
Office environment; travel may be required to and from work sites, businesses and other locations.
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods of time; manual dexterity; adequate speech, hearing and vision required; operate assigned equipment.
