The City of Fort Worth is seeking qualified individuals to provide complex, administrative support for the Municipal Court Department-Warrants Section. The Customer Service Representative II position(s) assigned to the Warrants section receives and processes criminal warrants for delinquent citations and maintains a variety of court-related documents.
The successful incumbent will perform routine and complex, work in a fast-paced, high volume environment which may include: making copies, answering phones, taking messages, faxing paperwork, filing, notarizing documents, processing mail, maintaining court calendars, scanning files, and/or performing other support activities requiring general office knowledge.
Typical functions involve performing a variety of support activities for the Municipal Court; confirming warrants for the Fort Worth Marshal Division, Fort Worth Police Department and surrounding jurisdictions; assisting in arraigning prisoners at the jail, responding to requests for information from the public, attorneys, law enforcement, and/or other interested parties regarding basic court information; conducting basic research on warrants, criminal histories, and/or other related information; updating the status of all warrants and citations in the court database system; transcribing and recording hand written documents into the computer system. This position requires heavy telephone use, flexibility and the capability of multi-tasking.
The following education and/or experience are the minimum standards which provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position: High School diploma or GED PLUS two (2) years of increasingly responsible customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced financial, law enforcement and/ or court environment is strongly preferred. Preference may be given to higher levels of education and relevant experience as it relates to the vacancy.

Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly desirable
Microsoft Office Suite helpful
In addition, the incumbent must be proficient in using MS Word, and is required to take and pass a typing test with a passing score of 35 wpm and clerical test score of 70.
NOTE: Clerical test scores must be on file with Human Resources prior to application. Testing on the lower level City of Fort Worth City Hall at 1000 Throckmorton in Staffing Services from 9:00am-3:00pm. Call 817-392-7750 for more information.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:The primary work hours are as follows: 1st shift 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.; 2nd shift 3:00 p.m. 11:30 p.m.; 3rd shift 11:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m., and split shift hours are 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Scheduled days off vary to during the week and weekend dependent on the business need.
The incumbent must commit to the possibility of working any shift within a 24 hour period, any day of the week, as needed; openings are currently for the 2nd shift and 3rd shifts with weekdays off. The Warrants Division operates 24 hours per day, this includes weekends and holidays.

Office or court environment; exposure to computer screens. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time.
Conditions of Employment: Persons selected for employment into any position must pass a drug test. Some positions may require passing an alcohol test. Previous employment and any additional experience will be subject to verification prior to employment processing. A driver's license and driving record check will be conducted if driving is a job requirement. A post offer employment medical examination may be conducted prior to job placement. You will be paid by direct deposit or pay card only.
